Join Christina for a 2 hour class exploring the anatomy of the backbend. Learn safe, intelligent, methodical sequencing to graduate from Supported and “baby” backbends to a deeper, more active backbending practice. All levels welcome.Register
Join Christina for a 2 hour class exploring the anatomy of the elusive Twist. Twists reduce fat around the waist, increase mobility in other asanas, keep the spine supple and healthy and benefit the functioning of the internal organs. Learn how to not only perform twists safely and correctly, but to enjoy these versatile postures! All levels welcome.Register
Our classes have three focus areas:
IYIP classes run in 12-week sessions with a short break between quarters. Most classes build sequentially throughout the quarter, but you are welcome to begin or drop in at any point.
You can pre-register and pay for classes using the MindBody mobile app or pay at class time with cash or check made out to Iyengar Yoga Institute of Pittsburgh (IYIP). No need to call ahead; just come a few minutes early for your first class to meet your teacher and fill out our New Student Registration form.
