Labor Day:

There are no classes on Monday, September 2.


Christina will teach Diane’s Tuesday 50+ class, and Sara will teach for her on Thursday for the summer quarter. The Thursday level 1 and restorative classes will be combined into one class from 11-12:30. Content for the class is one hour of level one work followed by a half hour of restorative postures. Diane will resume teaching in October. The Thursday class will remain a combined class for the fall quarter (Oct through December).


Our address is 2721 Murray Avenue – the Morrowfield Building. This is the space formerly occupied by Knit One.

IYIP Classes


Our classes have three focus areas:

Beginner to advanced yoga practice

Yoga therapy and rehabilitation

Stress management

IYIP classes run in 12-week sessions with a short break between quarters. Most classes build sequentially throughout the quarter, but you are welcome to begin or drop in at any point.

Class Descriptions

You can pre-register and pay for classes using the MindBody mobile app or pay at class time with cash or check made out to Iyengar Yoga Institute of Pittsburgh (IYIP). No need to call ahead; just come a few minutes early for your first class to meet your teacher and fill out our New Student Registration form.
