Sunday May 20 2 - 4 PM
Yoga for the Emotions with Michelle Minyon

Lie down using the support of blankets and props for the healing practice of iRest Yoga Nidra. It will be followed by learning specific breathing techniques and how to carry the practice in to your daily life. iRest(r) is a research based transformative practice of deep relaxation and meditative inquiry that research has shown to reduce PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Insomnia, Chronic Pain and Chemical Dependency.

Menstrual and Pregnancy Modifications for Asanas with Christina Sible

Join Christina for this informative workshop detailing how and why to modify your practice during pregnancy and menstruation.


IYIP Classes

Our classes have three focus areas:

Beginner to advanced yoga practice

Yoga therapy and rehabilitation

Stress management

IYIP classes run in 12-week sessions with a short break between quarters. Most classes build sequentially throughout the quarter, but you are welcome to begin or drop in at any point.

Class Descriptions

You can pre-register and pay for classes using the MindBody mobile app or pay at class time with cash or check made out to Iyengar Yoga Institute of Pittsburgh (IYIP). No need to call ahead; just come a few minutes early for your first class to meet your teacher and fill out our New Student Registration form.
